Hesketh is an international C Level Oil and Gas executive who has 47 years of knowledge and expertise in all sectors of the industry. He began his career in the service sector with Baroid Petroleum Services as a logging and mud engineer followed by a career in BP (Staff Engineer- London, Drilling Manager- Colombia, Regional Co-Ordinator – Latin America, Country Manager – Mexico, Operations Manager – Norway, Director Integration – Norway and Latin America, General Manager – Middle East, International Director – USA). After retiring from BP he entered the management consulting sector initially with Baker Donnelson, and then Wood Mackenzie as Vice President – Upstream Consulting, Latin America. In 2012 he was appointed Chief Executive of ENAP Sipetrol for the upstream operations (65,000 boe/d) in Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, and Egypt. During his 7-year tenure with ENAP, the tight gas resource in southern Chile was developed to replace the declining conventional gas reserves, which enabled a secure regional supply and the continuation of two Methanex methanol trains.
Hesketh joined Viking in 2020. Hesketh focuses on the future strategic direction, senior client management interaction, and integration of Viking’s core service areas, to access new business opportunities. He also develops a strategic advisory, performance, and risk management unit to complement the Viking expert technical capability that delivers reliable, innovative and cost-effective solutions to challenging operational and integrity issues.
Externally he has participated in several company boards and was the President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (1993 to 1995).
