Steve is currently serving as an “Advisor” with Viking Engineering. He has over 40 years of experience working in the Upstream and Midstream sector of the Oil & Gas industry. His expertise is in drilling and completion equipment, with his specialty being in OCTG’s and threads. He has conducted Vendor Audits/Assessments for compliance to both ISO 9001 and API Q1 of many OCTG manufacturers and processors around the world. He has also assisted many Operators in the development and implementation of robust QA/QC specifications and plans for the manufacturing, inspection, threading, and testing of OCTG’s. He is currently a voting member of API’s Committee 5 Group, where serves as a voting member of the TG on OCTG’s, TG on Threading, and RG on NDE. Prior to joining Viking Engineering, he served as President of Oil Technology Service, an engineering/ QA consulting organization, Chief Operating Officer of Materials Consulting Services, a QA consulting organization, and QA Lead on Freeport McMoran’s HP/HT Team.
