Anadarko – Lucius Spar
GATE Energy provided full commissioning and start-up services offshore Gulf of Mexico. Provided umbilical commissioning planning and execution for facility offshore Gulf of Mexico.
GATE partnered with Anadarko to execute full systems completion and commissioning services on the Lucius and Heidelberg Spars. Anadarko employed a “design one, build two” philosophy in development of these new-build, greenfield facilities. Though the Lucius project was a success in its own right, the extensive implementation of project lessons learned and carry-over of personnel led to GATE safely and successfully delivering the Heidelberg project three months ahead of schedule and significantly under budget.
The Anadarko Lucius facility was a greenfield project developed as a wet tree truss SPAR production facility with a capacity of 80,000 BOPD and 450 MMcf/d located at Keathley Canyon 875 in 7,100 ft of water.
