Charles "Chuck" Centore is an experienced business executive with a track record of understanding core business drivers and developing effective strategies that enhance profitability, mitigate risk, and increase shareholder and company value. His expertise spans a wide range of skills and knowledge, including financial and business analysis, capital budgeting, strategy development and implementation, leadership, mergers and acquisitions, negotiation, communication, enterprise risk management, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory accounting, and capital raising.
In his role as President and General Manager at GATE Energy, Chuck has achieved impressive results, including a 14% CAGR from 2017 to 2021 during a period of oil market volatility and a global pandemic. He leads a team of 80+ engineers and specialty consultants, overseeing multi-billion-dollar energy production projects worldwide. Chuck has also been instrumental in successful mergers and acquisitions, with three deals closed as part of the buyer team. His leadership extends to corporate training for leadership development, ISO certification, and capital raising, where he played a significant role in securing investments.
His educational background includes an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston-Victoria, a Master's in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, and a BE in Marine Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College. Chuck has also completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, enhancing his negotiation and leadership skills and expertise in strategy development and execution.
