Mr. Hurd’s unique composition of positive manners, work ethic, and grit have become a benchmark for BlueFin's recruitment methods and culture. His introduction into the oil and gas industry started in the onshore pipeline construction market. While there, Mr. Hurd received quick promotions and weighted responsibilities that eventually caught the attention of BlueFin’s field team. With a successful solicitation in hand and a new address in south Louisiana, Mr. Hurd has created technical depth in pipeline pre-commissioning through study efforts, knowledge sharing, and application. Initially, he assumed a role in estimating and project management, which in the turn led him to share his lessons and experiences with other teammates.
After combining five successful years in those categories, Mr. Hurd was promoted to BlueFin’s Pipeline & Process business group manager in 2017. With this specific distinguishment, Mr. Hurd was responsible for department solidarity, field execution, P&L management, and department growth measures. Under Mr. Hurd’s management, BlueFin’s PPS group witnessed tremendous growth in several areas—project capacity, department functionality, recruitment measures, and technical depth. Now, with a legacy of mature, proven management competencies to his name, Mr. Hurd will leverage his technical knowledge as a Business Development professional for the organization.

Mr. Hurd is an Alumni of the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Technology.
