This online course teaches the Stream-Based HAZOP method. The method is more effective, requires much less session time (though significantly more prework) and is much less repetitive and hence, is far less tedious for the participants.
Proper use of the program ensures that careful consideration is given to all potential project hazards and that suitable precautions are taken to minimize risk.
Subsea Integrity Management is defined as the management of a subsea system or asset to ensure that it delivers the design requirements while not adversely affecting life or the health of the environment throughout the required life of the field
A drying campaign is crucial to the commissioning of every natural gas pipeline. When done correctly, effectively and efficiently, the results can prevent hydrate formation during start up and also protect the ongoing integrity of the pipeline.
Leak testing, commonly confused with hydrostatic testing, is a means of verifying the quality of facility construction.
It is frequently necessary to displace the contents of a pipeline or umbilical tube (fluid B) with another fluid (fluid A). If we don’t use a pig to separate the liquids, there will be mixing at the interface (axial mixing). The mixing zone requires us to overflush the line to effectively remove fluid B from the line.
Commissioning personnel have a different understanding of HSE and safety of working around live equipment. Construction sites are typically not set-up to operate a permit to work system for dynamic testing of equipment such as energizing electrical systems.
The GATE Commissioning team brings their extensive offshore oil and gas commissioning experience to the onshore sector.
GATE Subsea IHUC activities include the pigging, testing, hook-up (static / dynamic) and commissioning of flowline / riser and controls systems from topsides to shore. As such, IHUC activities have multiple complex engineering, scheduling, ownership and scope interfaces between Well Engineering, Topsides and Subsea Facilities Design and the Operator.
GATE has expertise in facility design, planning and execution of commissioning and start-up operations, as well as being able to provide on-site technical support during well unloading and commissioning activities. This enables a rapid response capability to unexpected events and the ability to transfer learnings to our clients.
The GATE Control of Work System (GCWS) is a proprietary, cloud-based permit to work (PTW) solution designed to fulfill most oil and gas projects, yet easily adaptable for other energy construction and commissioning projects.

Our strategy is simple. Develop an industry-recognized team with the credentials, competencies, and resources that deliver safe and successful projects.
The SCSSV Leak Rate Calculation tool uses the GATE Prho™ engine to simulate the commonly used SCSSV leak test protocol.
